Soursop | Guanabana Fruit Box
from $109.00 $119.00
Guanabana Fruit Soursop fruit, guanabana, graviola: three names for the same exotic fruit, depending on which country your kitchen learned its tropical recipes from. Tropical Fruit Box carries soursop year-round when supply allows, sold by weight in 3, 5, and 10-pound boxes because every guanabana fruit grows to its own irregular shape and size. The flavor is what everyone agrees on. Bite into ripe soursop fruit and you get creamy white flesh closer in consistency to a smashed banana than a juicy citrus, a flavor profile that lands somewhere between pineapple and strawberry, and a sour citrus finish that earns the English name. Our soursop ships from family farm partners across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, flown into Miami and shipped the day it arrives. Free U.S. shipping covers every order, with the Arrive Fresh Guarantee on every soursop fruit box. Why Choose Soursop Fruit from Tropical Fruit Box? Hand-handled and shipped the same day it arrives in our Miami warehouse, with the Arrive Fresh Guarantee covering every soursop fruit box. Soursop sourced direct from family farm partners across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, with biweekly air shipments to Miami during peak season. Free U.S. shipping on every soursop box, available in 3, 5, or 8-pound sizes to match how much guanabana fruit you actually plan to use. Tropical Fruit Box was built so families across the U.S. could buy soursop and other rare tropical fruits direct from the same farms that supply major retailers. You Might Also Like Cherimoya Fruit Box: the closest cousin to soursop in flavor and texture, with a custard-apple sweetness and similarly creamy white flesh. Atemoya Box: a hybrid of soursop's relatives the cherimoya and sugar apple, with a softer, sweeter flavor profile. Mamey Sapote Box: another rare tropical fruit with dense, soft flesh, popular in the same Caribbean and Central American kitchens that love guanabana. Caribbean Tropical Fruits: the wider regional collection covering soursop, mamey, sapodilla, and other exotic fruits from the islands. Find the Best Soursop Fruit For... Smoothies, Shakes, and Champola The best soursop fruit for smoothies, shakes, and the Brazilian champola drink because the creamy guanabana flesh blends easily without needing extra thickener. Order the 5 or 10-pound soursop box if you blend regularly. Eating Ripe with a Spoon The best guanabana fruit for eating ripe straight from the skin, scooped with a spoon. Wait until the soursop yields to gentle pressure, then halve and dig in. Family Recipes from the Diaspora The best place to buy soursop fruit if you grew up calling it guanabana or graviola. Our soursop ships from the same farms used by Caribbean and Latin American kitchens. A First Taste of Soursop The best soursop box for first-timers is the small 3-pound size, with one or two soursop fruits to figure out the flavor before committing to a larger guanabana fruit order.

Spanish Limes | Mamoncillos | Quenepas | Guineps Box GoogleON Tropical Fruit Box Small (3 Pounds) Spanish Limes | Mamoncillos | Quenepas | Guineps Box GoogleON Tropical Fruit Box
Spanish Limes | Mamoncillos | Quenepas | Guineps Box
from $67.00
Quenepas (Mamoncillo Fruit) Spanish limes are a fruit with a thousand names. Quenepas in Puerto Rico, mamoncillos across the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, guineps in Jamaica, kenep in Haiti, limoncillo in the Dominican Republic, and mamón or jocote depending on which country in Central America you ask. Nearly every country has its own name for the fruit also known as quenepa. Despite the lime in the name, the Spanish lime is not actually a citrus fruit. From the outside it looks like a miniature lime, or close to a key lime, with skin that's a beautiful green, leathery and hard like a shell. Crack it open and you get translucent orange flesh wrapped tightly around a single large seed. The Spanish lime is related to lychee, rambutan, and longan rather than anything in the citrus family.  As for what a Spanish lime tastes like, imagine lime crossed with lychee, with citrus notes, a hint of tamarind, and the sweet-tart finish Puerto Ricans love. Mamoncillo trees grow wild in South America and have spread throughout tropical regions, including parts of tropical Africa, though the heart of quenepa culture remains Puerto Rico, the island of enchantment, where Ponce hosts a national festival every summer. We sell Spanish limes by the pound, sourced from family farm partners during the short summer harvest, with individual fruits shipped on the branch in clusters where possible. Free U.S. shipping covers every box. Why Choose Spanish Limes from Tropical Fruit Box? Sourced direct from family farm partners across South America and the Caribbean during the short summer Spanish lime harvest, with the Arrive Fresh Guarantee on every box. Each box ships with quenepas attached to the branch where possible, the way they're sold at local Caribbean and Latin American markets. Free U.S. shipping on every Spanish limes order, with no minimums or surprise fees at checkout. Tropical Fruit Box was built to make hard-to-find fruits like mamoncillos and guineps available to U.S. families who grew up eating them. You Might Also Like Longan Fruit Box: a sibling in the Sapindaceae family, with the same translucent flesh-around-a-seed structure and a sweeter, less tangy flavor. Rambutan Box: a closer cousin to the Spanish lime, with a hairy red shell hiding similar lychee-style flesh. Caribbean Tropical Fruits: the wider regional collection covering quenepas, mamoncillo fruit, and other island favorites. Out of Season Boxes: subscribe for restock alerts when the Spanish lime season runs out. Best Spanish Limes For... Caribbean and Diaspora Family Tables For families who grew up sucking the flesh off the seed at summer gatherings, our growers ship the same quenepas eaten across the islands. Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Jamaicans, and Haitians all recognize this fruit immediately, even under different names. Beach Snacks and Summer Refreshment The best Spanish limes for a summer beach snack are riper ones eaten by cracking the shell with your teeth (don't tell your dentist). Each soft shell cracks open to a tangy flesh that refreshes more than a key lime ever could, which is why mamoncillos are such a beach favorite. Cocktails, Mojitos, and Tropical Drinks Mamoncillos work well in a muddler with sugar, lime juice, and rum or sparkling water. Quenepas pulp adds a lychee-tamarind flavor most cocktail menus don't carry, and the tartness holds up against stronger spirits without disappearing.

Purple Mangosteen Fruit Box
from $119.00
Fresh Mangosteen (Manggis Fruit) Mangosteen has been called the queen of fruits for centuries, partly for its regal purple rind and partly because Queen Victoria was rumoured to offer titles to anyone who could deliver fresh mangosteen to her table. We can confirm the fruit is special; we cannot offer knighthoods. Crack open the reddish-purple rind and you find a flower-shaped cluster of creamy white flesh with a flavor profile that splits the difference between lychee, strawberry, and peach. Manggis fruit (the Indonesian name) is native to Southeast Asia and now ships to the U.S. in limited windows. Each fresh mangosteen fruit box contains 3, 5, or 7 pounds of hand-picked purple mangosteen, sourced through our partners and air-shipped to Miami before going out to your door. Free U.S. shipping and the Arrive Fresh Guarantee cover every box. Why Choose Mangosteen Fruit from Tropical Fruit Box? Air-shipped to Miami in limited windows during the manggis fruit harvest season, with the Arrive Fresh Guarantee on every box. Sourced direct from family farm partners in Southeast Asia where the purple mangosteen has grown for generations. Free U.S. shipping on every mangosteen box, available in 3, 5, or 7-pound sizes to match how much fresh mangosteen you plan to share. Tropical Fruit Box was built to make rare exotic fruits like mangosteen accessible to families across the U.S., not just specialty grocers. You Might Also Like Rambutan Box: a sibling Southeast Asian fruit with similar flesh texture and a more accessible price point per pound. Longan Fruit Box: another tropical relative with a translucent, juicy flesh that mangosteen fans tend to enjoy. Asian Exotic Tropical Fruits: the wider regional collection covering rambutan, longan, lychee, and other Southeast Asian rarities. Specialty Boxes: rare and seasonal collections for shoppers who want to keep going past the queen of fruits. Best Mangosteen Fruit For... A First Taste of the Queen of Fruits The best mangosteen fruit for first-timers is the small 3-pound box. The reddish-purple rind takes practice to crack cleanly; about ten mangosteens give you room to figure it out before going larger. Sharing the Mangosteen Experience The best fresh mangosteen box for sharing with family or guests is the 7-pound size, which holds enough purple mangosteen to introduce the flavor to a group. The flower-shaped flesh segments are easy to portion. Mangosteen Smoothies and Sorbets The best mangosteen for blended drinks and frozen desserts is whatever box matches your batch size. The creamy flesh blends easily, and the lychee-strawberry-peach flavor profile holds up against yogurt, citrus, and coconut milk. Connoisseur Tropical Fruit Boxes The best mangosteen fruit for connoisseurs and tropical fruit collectors is the 5-pound box, the right balance for one or two people who want to eat manggis fruit slowly over a week without rushing.
Tropical Fruit Box offers a 12lb box of 12-15 fresh, ripe mangoes in various colors including yellow, green, and red. Tropical Fruit Box with 12-15 ripe mangoes, some sliced to show vibrant orange flesh.

Passion Fruit Box
from $89.00
PREORDER for shipping week of July 27th. We finally got Passion Fruit in Spanish it is also known as Maracuya, Maracuja, Granadilla, Lilikoi, and many names all over the world! In Puerto Rico, they call it Parcha, and they absolutely love it!     This fruit is very special. The name of it doesn't come from where you might think. The name was given by the Spanish Catholic Missionaries in the sixteenth century traveling through the South American region where this fruit is native. They called "La flor de las cinco llagas o flor de la pasión" in English, the fruit of the five wounds since it resembled the wounds of Christ or the fruit of passion, so the name passion fruit stuck.   What does Passion Fruit taste like? This fruit packs a punch, flavor-wise, it has a tropical, slightly tart, and sweet taste with an unmistakable aroma. It's no coincidence that it's used in preparing drinks, and some countries even make flavored soda from it. One interesting fact is that Passion Fruit is technically a berry since the whole fruit is fleshy. When is Passion Fruit Ripe? This fruit is very peculiar and unmistakable when it's ripe. You leave it on the counter until it gets wrinkly; after the skin is looking a little dry with visible wrinkles, you cut it open and extract the pulp. It can last a couple of weeks at room temperature and about 30 days in the refrigerator. How do you eat passion fruit? Hopefully, with a spoon! The pulp is delicious; you can use it to make drinks or juices or just eat it with a spoon. We recommend some sweetener since it's pretty tart but it's a very special tartness that defines this fruit and makes it completely unique. Once you've tasted passionfruit, you'll love it and want more. What are some of the Passion Fruit Health Benefits? Passion fruit is high in nutrients, low in calories, and packs an antioxidant punch. It contains fiber, Vitamins A and C, and minerals such as Iron and Potassium.  Order your Passion fruit Box Today.

Cacao Fruit Box
from $109.00
Cacao Fruit also called Cacao pods is not what you'd expect. It's much better! Did you know that the literal translation for Cacao’s scientific name means “Food of the Gods”? The Olmecs, an ancient civilization from what is now Mexico, were the first to use Cacao Fruit over 3,500 years ago. They obviously didn’t know what they had because if they did, we’d all be speaking Olmec right now… Instead, the just the airport in Brussels, Belgium sells over 800 tons of chocolate every year but, we digress. Cacao Fruit and Chocolate Cacao Pods are these American football shape-inspired fruits and coincidentally are where Chocolate comes from. Yes, the name is a little confusing and we get a lot of people asking for cocoa fruit, cocoa, cacao... does it even matter, at the end it all comes form the cacao bean that lives inside the fruit. The taste couldn’t be any more different than the delicacy we’ve been groomed to gift to our loved ones. The white flesh has a pretty delicious zingy sweet flavor, it’s hard to describe its tart, fruity, citrusy flavor with mango and pineapple notes. The seeds are the ones used to actually make Chocolate and when you bite into them, you can taste what unprocessed pure chocolate is like. The regular box contains 4 pieces of Cacao Fruits and the large box has 6 pieces of this Food of the Gods. Don’t wait, order your box of Cacao fruit today.

Tropical Avocados Small Box Tropical Avocado Box Tropical Fruit Box Produce Box
Tropical Avocado Box
from $49.00
If you haven’t tried Tropical Avocados, you are in for a treat. To my family, the Tropical Avocado has always been known as an Aguacate, pronounced (ah-gwa-kah-tee). This variety is a staple food in the Caribbean and Latin America where it’s been the most popular variety for generations. Tropical Avocados are also known as green skin avocados because of their shiny and gorgeous shade of green. They are a source of good fats, are hearty, yummy, and are full of nutrients. How do Tropical Avocados taste like? When it comes to taste, they are pretty similar to the Haas avocado although slightly sweeter. They are creamy, luscious, and delicious. They spread very easily and have a buttery and creamy smooth texture. They have a light yellow and green color inside, and the seed can be brittle but that’s OK. The reality is that they are very similar to the avocados you are used to. How are Tropical Avocados better? Larger in size: The first thing you’ll notice is that they are humongous compared to the varieties you can buy at the supermarket. Each Tropical Avocado is about the equivalent of 4 Haas avocados. You can prep just one and feed your whole family. Longer cut life: One of my pet peeves with those other avocados is that they turn black and the flavor changes right away, in the industry they call that oxidizing. The Tropical Avocados oxidize much slower which means that you can cut them and leave them out for longer. You can even keep one in the fridge wrapped in foil for two to three days after you cut them. How do you know when they are ripe? These avocados are ripe while the skin is still green, which is a little confusing if you are not used to them. Luckily, there is a simple way to know when they are ready. How? When you squeeze them and they give in just a little, they are ready to eat. Where are they from? These avocados are grown in the tropics on a beautiful farm in the Dominican Republic and in the off season over there, they come from beautiful and sunny Florida, where we are based. They grow with plenty of natural rain in nutrient-rich soil. They are naturally large, non-GMO and delicious. Our Large Box comes with about 8 Large Tropical Avocados. Our Regular Box has 4 Large Tropical Avocados.

Work the flesh off the inedible seed and enjoy it by the handful, or drop a few peeled rambutans into fruit salads, smoothies, and cocktails. Keep them in the refrigerator and eat them within the week, since they are at their best fresh. Every order ships with our Arrive Fresh Guarantee, so your rambutan arrive plump with soft, flexible spines. Why Choose Rambutan from Tropical Fruit Box? •  Freshness Guaranteed: Your rambutan arrive plump and juicy with soft, flexible spines, the telltale sign of freshness, backed by our Arrive Fresh Guarantee: get it fresh or we'll make it right. •  Sourced Direct: We source our rambutan from trusted growers in tropical growing regions and pack every box carefully so the delicate fruit travels safely. •  Free Shipping on Every U.S. Order: Delivered straight to your doorstep with no minimums and no added fees. •  Women-Powered, Family-Driven: Tropical Fruit Box is a women-powered small business in Miami, and rambutan season always gets our Tropifruiters talking. Best Ways to Enjoy Rambutan Peeled and Eaten Fresh The classic way to enjoy rambutan is straight from the shell. Score the skin with a small knife or your thumbnail, squeeze until it pops open, and enjoy the juicy white flesh, minding the seed in the center. Tossed into Fruit Salads Peeled rambutan brings a juicy, grape-like bite to fruit salads. Pair it with mango, pineapple, and citrus for a bright, tropical bowl, where its gentle sweet and sour balance keeps every spoonful interesting. Dropped into Drinks and Desserts Rambutan slips easily into cocktails, mocktails, and iced teas, where the sweet flesh soaks up whatever it floats in. It is just as comfortable spooned over sorbet or folded into a chilled fruit dessert. A Natural Pick for Lychee Lovers If you already love lychee, the rambutan lychee comparison ends in your favor either way. Rambutan brings the same fragrant white flesh with a sweeter, creamier character, so lychee fans feel instantly at home here.
Cherimoya Fruit (Custard Apple) Box Specialty Box Tropical Fruit Box Cherimoya Fruit (Custard Apple) Box Specialty Box Tropical Fruit Box
Cherimoya Fruit (Custard Apple) Box
from $109.00
Cherimoya Fruit (Custard Apple) Cherimoya is one of those fruits Mark Twain called "the most delicious fruit known to men," which is a lot of pressure for any cherimoya fruit to live up to. Most do. Cut a ripe one open and the flesh is white and custardy, with a flavor profile that splits the difference between banana, pineapple, and pear, and a fragrance that reads as floral. Latin Americans call it chirimoya or fruit cherimoya, and the same fruit is sometimes labelled custard apple in English markets. Spanish-speaking customers often order chirimoyas by name. Each box ships in 5, 8, or 12-pound sizes, packed by hand from our family farm partners during the short cherimoya season. If a size is sold out, check back at the start of the week. Free U.S. shipping covers every cherimoya delivery. Why Choose Cherimoya from Tropical Fruit Box? Hand-picked from family farm partners during the short cherimoya harvest, with the Arrive Fresh Guarantee on every cherimoya delivery. Sourced direct from growers in California, South America, and other tropical regions where cherimoya thrives, restocked weekly during peak season. Free U.S. shipping on every cherimoya fruit box, available in 5, 8, or 12-pound sizes to match your appetite or recipe plans. Tropical Fruit Box was built so families across the U.S. could buy fresh cherimoya direct from the farm, not from grocery stores that rarely stock it. You Might Also Like Soursop: the closest cousin to cherimoya in the Annona family, with a similar creamy white flesh and a more tropical, citrus-tinged flavor profile. Atemoya: a hybrid built from the cherimoya itself crossed with the sugar apple, sweeter and more aromatic than its cherimoya parent. Red Custard Apple: a rare Caribbean cousin in the same fruit family with a similar custardy flesh and a deeper sweetness. Sapote Family Tropical Fruits: the wider category of soft, custard-textured tropical fruits worth exploring after cherimoya. Best Cherimoya For... Spooning Ripe Cherimoya The best cherimoya for eating ripe with a spoon is the 8-pound box. Wait until the fruit yields like a soft pear, halve it, and scoop the custardy flesh from the skin. Discard the dark seeds. Cherimoya Smoothies and Ice Cream The best fruit cherimoya for blended drinks and frozen desserts is whichever size matches your batch. The custardy flesh blends easily, and freezing the scooped pulp in advance creates an instant cherimoya-based ice cream base. Latin American Family Recipes The best place to buy chirimoyas online if you grew up calling them by their Spanish name. Our growers cultivate the same cherimoya varieties found in Peruvian, Chilean, and Ecuadorian kitchens. A First Cherimoya The best cherimoya delivery for first-timers is the small 5-pound box, with a few cherimoyas to figure out the texture and flavor before going larger. Wait for the soft yield before cutting in.

Mamey is the big, brown-skinned sapote with sweet orange-red flesh that tastes like sweet potato meets pumpkin pie, grown in Florida and shipped fresh to your door. Fresh Mamey Fruit From Florida Farms This box brings you fresh mamey fruit in an 8 or 12 pound order, and these red mamey sapote are grown right here in Florida and tend to run huge. Under the thick, semi-rough brown skin sits dense, creamy flesh in shades of orange to salmon-red, with a fine, smooth texture and a flavor people compare to sweet potato, pumpkin, honey, and a touch of cinnamon. It is rich enough to eat with a spoon straight from the skin and even better blended into a classic mamey shake or batido. Just do not confuse it with black sapote, which is a different fruit altogether. We created this box because so many people kept asking where to buy mamey online, and ours comes from the same family farms our growers have tended for decades. Every mamey delivery is backed by our Arrive Fresh Guarantee, so your fruit arrives ready to ripen on the counter. Its dense, smooth flesh blends with milk and ice into the thick batido found in Cuban cafeterias, no sweetener needed thanks to its natural sweetness. Spooning Straight From the Skin Ripe mamey is ideal eaten fresh with a spoon. Slice it open, lift out the large seed, and scoop the soft orange-red flesh, a simple way to enjoy mamey sapote at its peak. Cuban and Caribbean Kitchens Mamey is a staple for cooks bringing tropical flavor home, from ice creams to milkshakes to desserts. Its pumpkin and honey notes carry the taste many grew up with across Cuba and the Caribbean. First-Time Tropical Eaters Mamey fruit suits anyone new to tropical produce who wants something rich and approachable. Its familiar sweet-potato and pumpkin-pie flavor makes it an easy, rewarding first step beyond everyday fruit.

Fresh Sapodilla | Zapote | Chico Box
from $79.00
We have Sapodilla! After a crazy season, we were able to get our hands on a small batch of the ever-popular Sapodilla, also called Nispero, Chico Fruit, Zapote, Zapotillo, and Tree Potato, which curiously, tastes nothing like a potato. As a matter of fact, comparing this fruit to a potato is our new apples and oranges. So, from now on, to show that you are an Exotic fruit connoisseur, you'll say while slightly elevating your nose, it's like Sapodillas and Potatoes. People might look at you funny but Tropifruiters and the Fruitarians are going to revere you, but I digress... What does it taste like? This is definitely a dessert fruit, it's very sweet and has oaky, light molasses notes, and the flavor of brown sugar and roasted sweet potato. You can just chill it and eat it with a spoon, it's that good! The Sapodilla is a close cousin of the Mamey Sapote, Canistel, and Caimito, also known as Star Apple. Some of our very favorites. This is a very special fruit, the skin is light brown and the flesh has a beautiful golden brownish caramel color that reminds me of the sands of the Sahara. You know it's ripe when it's starting to soften and gives slightly to the touch. You know, it feels soft without being overly soft. When it's ready, pounce! You don't want to let this one pass you by. Life is too short. The  small box contains 3 lbs, Regular box contains 5 pounds of Sapodilla and the large box has 8 pounds. **Sorry California not allowed into your state.**

Breadfruit (Panapen, Ulu) Box
from $89.00
Breadfruit is considered by many the food of the future, Breadfruit also called Ulu or Panapen and it's been a staple food in the Pacific islands for over 2000 years. Ulu is an important part of the local food tradition and folklore in Hawaii. It can be prepared like a fruit or a vegetable since it's incredibly versatile. When roasted, it feels and tastes like baked bread, hence the name. Fun facts about Breadfruit Sir Joseph Banks, a sailor who embarked with Captain Cook to Tahiti in the 18th Century famously said that if you planted 10 breadfruit trees in your life, you or your future generations would never go hungry, we paraphrase of course. It is said that the famous mutiny of the H.M.S Bounty happened because of Breadfruit! The mission of the Bounty was to transplant more than 1000 young breadfruit trees, but they arrived late. Fate would have it that in the months they spent waiting, the crew grew enchanted with the island and didn’t want to leave. Forced to depart, the unhappiness of the crew eventually turned into mutiny. So there you have it, breadfruit has a long history! According to scientists, it has an amazing future in the food security of many nations and the world. Sir Joseph Banks was right! Order your Breadfruit box today, please note they are not currently mature.

The Jackfruit is the largest fruit in the world. No kidding. Believe it or not, the Jackfruit is a close cousin of the fig and breadfruit. It grows in tropical areas; since we live in one, we can usually procure a few. The Jackfruits are hot. This is one of the hottest "newly discovered fruits" that people are using as a vegan meat replacement because of its meaty texture and excellent neutral flavor that will take the flavor of the sauce or spices you use. So, you ask, where can I find a fresh jackfruit near me? Well, you are in luck because, thanks to the internet and FedEx, you can order a fresh jackfruit, and we ship it right to your door. Isn't that a deal? How big are these Jackfruits? This fruit is enormous, we can only fit one in a box so we are talking about a single fruit. I held one up for a picture, and it was a total workout! Tamarillo - Tree Tomato Box
from $49.00
This box brings you fresh tree tomatoes in your choice of 3, 5, or 8 pound sizes. Our tamarillos grow at altitudes above 5,000 feet in Ecuador, and the fancy scientists call them Solanum betaceum, a nightshade relative of the tomato. The flavor lives up to the family name, mixing guava and passion fruit notes with the tangy tomato edge that earned it the tree tomato name. The thin skin is bitter, so peel it or blanch it off, or simply cut the fruit in half and scoop out the juicy, seed-flecked flesh with a spoon. A little sugar turns it into dessert, and a little heat turns it into salsa. Every order ships with our Arrive Fresh Guarantee, so your tree tomatoes arrive glossy, firm, and unblemished. Why Choose Tree Tomatoes from Tropical Fruit Box? •  Freshness Guaranteed: Your tree tomatoes arrive glossy and firm with their delicate skin intact, backed by our Arrive Fresh Guarantee: get it fresh or we'll make it right. •  Sourced Direct: Our tamarillos come from Ecuador, grown at altitudes above 5,000 feet where the fruit develops its signature tart, tangy character. •  Free Shipping on Every U.S. Order: Delivered straight to your doorstep with no minimums and no added fees. •  Women-Powered, Family-Driven: Tropical Fruit Box is a women-powered small business in Miami, and the tree tomato is one of those fruits our Tropifruiters love introducing to friends. Best Ways to Enjoy Tree Tomato  Halved and Scooped with a Spoon The simplest way to enjoy a tamarillo is to cut it in half along the stem, sprinkle on a little sugar or your favorite sweetener, and scoop out the juicy, seed-flecked flesh with a spoon. Blended into Salsas and Chutneys The tree tomato's tangy, tomato-adjacent flavor makes it a natural for salsas, chutneys, and sauces. Peel, chop, and simmer it with onion and chili for a condiment that wakes up grilled meats and cheeses. Stirred into Breakfast and Smoothies Add scooped tamarillo flesh to yogurt, spread it over toast with cream cheese, or drop it into a smoothie or juice for a tart, tropical boost that plays beautifully against sweeter fruits like banana and mango. A Natural Pick for Passion Fruit Fans If you enjoy passion fruit, guava, or even a good heirloom tomato, the tree tomato fruit belongs on your counter. It neatly splits the difference between bright fruit-bowl sweetness and savory, salsa-ready tang.

Golden Berry Box
from $59.00 $97.00
This box brings you fresh golden berries in your choice of 6 or 12 crates. Each berry arrives tucked inside its papery husk, a natural wrapper that peels back to reveal a glossy, marble-sized orange fruit. The golden berries taste like a tangy mix of pineapple and mango with a hint of tartness and a citrusy finish, and Physalis peruviana, as the fancy scientists call it, is actually a cousin of the tomatillo rather than a true berry. To eat them, slip off the husk, give the berries a quick rinse, and pop them in your mouth whole. They are just as happy scattered over yogurt or fruit salad as they are eaten by the handful. Every order ships with our Arrive Fresh Guarantee, so your golden berries arrive plump, bright, and ready to enjoy. Why Choose Golden Berries from Tropical Fruit Box? •  Freshness Guaranteed: Your golden berries arrive plump and protected in their natural husks, backed by our Arrive Fresh Guarantee: get it fresh or we'll make it right. •  Sourced Direct: We source our golden berries from trusted growers in tropical growing regions, harvested ripe and packed in crates so every berry travels safely. •  Free Shipping on Every U.S. Order: Delivered straight to your doorstep with no minimums and no added fees. •  Women-Powered, Family-Driven: Tropical Fruit Box is a women-powered small business in Miami, and golden berries are one of the finds our Tropifruiters ask for again and again. Best Ways to Enjoy Golden Berries Straight from the Husk The simplest way to enjoy golden berries is by the handful. Peel back the papery husk, rinse the berries, and snack away. That sweet-tart pop of pineapple and mango flavor makes it genuinely hard to stop at a few. Scattered over Breakfast and Salads Golden berries brighten a morning bowl of yogurt or granola and bring a tangy counterpoint to green salads and fruit salads. Their firm, juicy texture holds up well, so they stay intact wherever you scatter them. Simmered into Jams and Chutneys The sweet-tart balance of the golden berry shines in the kitchen. Simmer a batch into a golden jam for toast and cheese boards, or cook them down into a chutney that pairs beautifully with roasted meats. A Natural Pick for Tomatillo and Citrus Lovers If tangy fruits are your thing, golden berries belong in your rotation. Fans of tomatillos will recognize the papery husk right away, while anyone who reaches for citrus or passion fruit will love that bright, tart-sweet finish.

Mingolo Mango, Mingolo Mango, say that 10 times and repeat it again! Besides being the perfect tongue twister, this mango will only bring joy and pleasure to your very sensitive but likely by now, bored tastebuds. First cultivated in India over 5000 years ago, this beautiful mango has an amazing pedigree. Don’t pull out the toothpick just yet since they have very few fibers and the texture is pretty smooth overall. Don’t be fooled by the green exterior skin since they will ripen to a beautiful yellow. It’s kind of the preview of what’s to come this year and by the looks of the flowering situation happening in mango trees all around us, it’s going to be a mango year for the record books! We seriously must learn from the wine-making folks to label the mango seasons and start taking tasting notes. We can just close our eyes and look into the future and hear our Tropifruters deep in conversation – Remember that Tropical Fruit Box Mingolo Mango from 2022? – Absolutely! It was a lot richer and full of flavor than the 2017 with more flavor complexity due to the weather patterns and blah blah blah… but, we digress.Other favorite mangos, or mangoes (yes, you can spell it both ways and yes, we are annoyed at being corrected all the time by folks on both sides) from this region are the Jamaican Julie Mangos, the much loved and anticipated Haitian Francine mangos that our Tropifruters clamor for every year.To get back into the topic, the peak availability for the Mingolo Mango is from March to July and guess what? It’s time. Get your box of Mingolo Mangos today and enjoy it in whichever way you prefer, sliced, cubed, in smoothies, shakes, Mango Lassies, you name it but most importantly, take a picture, share your recipes and let us know how you liked them!

Star Fruit | Carambola | Box
from $59.00 $87.00
The stars are aligned here at Tropical Fruit Box, with Star Fruits that is. In the middle of the hottest summer we've had in forever, these Star Fruits, also called Carambola, finally showed up! They grow in tropical climates around the world, so they seem to like this heat. Go figure! You definitely want to eat them when they are ripe, if you eat them before, they’ll taste more sour and citrusy. When they ripen, they are sweet, definitely tart but no worries, their taste of apple mixed with pear and fresh crispy grape finish don't disappoint. If the edges are a little brown, don’t worry, it just means they are ready to eat and are sweeter, waiting for you to take a big bite. You could use them as garnishes in the fanciest drinks ever, add them to salads and even make the famous, Star Fruit upside-down cake. We think they should be called Star Hero Fruit since it has anti-inflammation properties, helps with digestion, helps reduce cholesterol, and has a low glycemic index. They are rich in potassium, magnesium, and vitamin C. They are also low in calories and have a high fiber content. If you don’t know why they are called Star Fruits, we’ll let you cut one and figure it out for yourself, as we know we have the smartest customers here at Tropical Fruit Box. ***Sorry, Cannot ship to California***

Pomegranate Box
from $79.00
The pome in pomegranate comes from the Latin word for apple and granate from the word for seed. Originally from Persia and northern India, pomegranates are now cultivated around the world, this variety comes to us from California.Ancient texts describe the pomegranate as a sacred fruit that brought fertility, abundance and luck. We need at least two of those these days. Today, the pomegranate has a whole bunch of health benefits that we are sure our Tropifruiters are pretty well versed in. The peel of the pomegranate is inedible, but once you open the red exterior, you'll find a beautiful array of crimson-colored seeds that have a tart, tangy and sweet combination of flavors that will leave you wanting more.

Star apple, also known as caimito, is a sweet, jelly-soft tropical fruit that reveals a star pattern when you slice it, shipped fresh from family farms to your door. Fresh Caimito Shipped to Your Door This box brings you fresh star apples in a 3, 5, or 8 pound order, picked from family farms in the regions where caimito has grown for generations. The soft, jelly-like flesh is sweet and lightly tangy, with a flavor people compare to a mix of milk, pear, grape, and a hint of lychee. The skin, green to deep purple depending on the fruit, holds a sticky latex and is not eaten, so scoop the pulp with a spoon and leave the rind behind.
