We have Sapodilla! After a crazy season, we were able to get our hands on a small batch of the ever-popular Sapodilla, also called Nispero, Chico Fruit, Zapote, Zapotillo, and Tree Potato, which curiously, tastes nothing like a potato. As a matter of fact, comparing this fruit to a potato is our new apples and oranges. So, from now on, to show that you are an Exotic fruit connoisseur, you'll say while slightly elevating your nose, it's like Sapodillas and Potatoes. People might look at you funny but Tropifruiters and the Fruitarians are going to revere you, but I digress... What does it taste like? This is definitely a dessert fruit, it's very sweet and has oaky, light molasses notes, and the flavor of brown sugar and roasted sweet potato.
