Are brown coconuts and green coconuts the same?

In a nutshell, yes. Brown coconuts are just matured green coconuts. Here is the difference.

Green Coconuts: These are young and not totally ripened are full of fresh and delicious coconut water and have less meat since they are younger. They have a very similar electrolyte and sugar composition than many of those fancy recovery drinks and they were invented by God, not in a factory. How about that?

Brown Coconuts: These are the more mature and instead of a majority of water, they become mostly meat and they open another world of possibilities.
