Let’s face it, Eggfruit, also known as Canistel or Yellow Sapote is absolutely delightful. When you cut it open, you discover the absolutely beautiful yellow color which takes you by surprise.

The flavor is very strong, sweet, and definitely rich with eggnog and pumpkin pie notes. The texture is firm, similar to a hard-boiled egg yolk but with a hearty, creamy, and smooth texture. Definitely a treat for our Tropifruiters.
