Breadfruit (Panapen, Ulu) Box

Breadfruit is considered by many the food of the future, Breadfruit also called Ulu or Panapen and it's been a staple food in the Pacific islands for over 2000 years. It is said that the famous mutiny of the H.M.S Bounty happened because of Breadfruit! The mission of the Bounty was to transplant more than 1000 young breadfruit trees, but they arrived late. Fate would have it that in the months they spent waiting, the crew grew enchanted with the island and didn’t want to leave.

Forced to depart, the unhappiness of the crew eventually turned into mutiny. So there you have it, breadfruit has a long history!
