If you’d like more quantity of one than another, you can just let us know in the notes at checkout. Simple. How much in the Box? At least 10 pounds of actual fruit!Since fruits are different shapes, sizes, and weights, we always err in your favor, so you get a little more. These are not the times to be skimping on food. Dragon Fruit - is a delicious fruit from a cactus that tastes like a kiwi married a pear.  Tropical Avocado 🥑 - this avocado is so much bigger than the ones you are used to; they are the equivalent of 3 to 4 of the ones you buy at the store. They are loaded with healthy fats and potassium! Ginger - It’s commonly used in teas, smoothies, and food. Turmeric - Is commonly used in teas, food dishes, and soups. Limes, Pineapple, Mango and Guava - need no introduction and are loaded with vitamin C! The Large Box contains 14 pounds of fruits and roots. The Regular Box Contains 8 pounds. Mingolo Mango, Mingolo Mango, say that 10 times and repeat it again! Besides being the perfect tongue twister, this mango will only bring joy and pleasure to your very sensitive but likely by now, bored tastebuds. First cultivated in India over 5000 years ago, this beautiful mango has an amazing pedigree. About the Mingolo Mango Mingolo mangos are medium-sized mangos that are very sweet and have enough flesh to enjoy in one sitting since the seed is mid-size as well but we seriously doubt that you’ll eat just one. When you cut into one, you can smell the delicious tropical fruit notes with even a hint of peach. Don’t pull out the toothpick just yet since they have very few fibers and the texture is pretty smooth overall. Don’t be fooled by the green exterior skin since they will ripen to a beautiful yellow. Origins of the Mingolo Coming to us from our partner farms in the fertile Dominican Republic, this mango deliciousness will really make you enjoy that fresh mango flavor that you miss in anticipation of the full summer mango season ahead. It’s kind of the preview of what’s to come this year and by the looks of the flowering situation happening in mango trees all around us, it’s going to be a mango year for the record books! We seriously must learn from the wine-making folks to label the mango seasons and start taking tasting notes.We can just close our eyes and look into the future and hear our Tropifruters deep in conversation – Remember that Tropical Fruit Box Mingolo Mango from 2022? – Absolutely! It was a lot richer and full of flavor than the 2017 with more flavor complexity due to the weather patterns and blah blah blah… but, we digress.Other favorite mangos, or mangoes (yes, you can spell it both ways and yes, we are annoyed at being corrected all the time by folks on both sides) from this region are the Jamaican Julie Mangos, the much loved and anticipated Haitian Francine mangos that our Tropifruters clamor for every year.To get back into the topic, the peak availability for the Mingolo Mango is from March to July and guess what?
