Fuyu Persimmons
from $59.00
In Greece, they are called the divine fruit, it’s the national fruit of Japan and in the U.S. this variety is about 80% of the market. We don’t know what you guys think but the Fuyu Persimmon has something going for it.
Their taste is a mixture of a rich, honey-like mild flavor that’s like nothing you’ve ever had before, unless of course… you’ve eaten persimmons :) They have fiber and vitamins that we are not going to mention because Facebook keeps blocking our listings saying that we are selling medical devices so, there...have you heard the phrase food as medicine? You get it then.
Thank you Meta for making our jobs harder and thank you for considering shopping for some delicious Fuyu persimmons that will be delivered right to your door thanks to the modern magic of internet and shipping.

Fresh Sugar Apple | Sweet Sop | Anon Box
from $119.00
Sugar Apple, just saying it aloud makes you want to eat a big piece, even if you’ve never tasted it before. The Sugar Apple is also known as Sweet Sop or Anón. The fancy scientists call it Annona squamosa, we started adding their fancy names because our Tropifruiters are very inquisitive.
This is what you do. It’s ripe when you can pull it apart and starts giving to the touch. Grab it with both hands and use your thumbs to separate the segments. When you separate the little knobs or lobes and expose the interior, you are in for a real treat.
The creamy flesh has the consistency of a custard, like the one Grandma used to make, but this tastes much better because it has a hint of a minty finish. Sorry Granny, we still love you. Remember to take out the seeds, you can do it before you eat the flesh or just put the lobes in your mouth and work out the seeds, as the seeds are not edible.
Sugar Apples are super rare and cultivated in very small batches. We only get a handful at a time and they literally fly out the door. Don't say we didn't warn you!
The current variety is green and from Florida and unfortunately cannot ship to California.

Fresh Nam Doc Mai Mangos
from $99.00
The Nam Doc Mai, or Nam Dok Mai according to Wikipedia is the Rockstar, the ultra, the most popular mango variety in Thailand. Also spelled น้ำดอกไม้, no worries, we don’t speak Thai so we hope it doesn’t say anything dirty, but we digress. They have a very unique UFO shape, but the taste is where it’s at. They are sweet and non-fibrous so keep the dental floss in the bathroom cabinet while you savor and enjoy the beautiful aroma that will fill your house with happiness and a hint of snobbishness since, after all, you got exclusive Thai mangos shipped directly to your house.
This mango is an absolute experience, and we bring it to you, our loyal Tropifruiters so we can continue to deliver to your door the wonderful tastes of the world. Can’t wait for you to taste them.
**If you are in California, any Floridian variety will be swapped out for another due to import restrictions***

Spanish Limes | Mamoncillos | Quenepas | Guineps Box
from $67.00
The Spanish Lime also known as Quenepa is a fruit with a thousand names. It’s known as Mamoncillo, Guinep, Limoncillo, Mamón, Jocote, you get the point. Why does it have so many names? We can only guess that every country that has it, likes it so much they want to make it their own. No joke. People are serious about this little fruit! The Puerto Ricans love it so much that they even have a national festival celebrating the Quenepa, which is what they call it in the island of enchantment.
Other than it looks similar to a key lime from the outside; the Spanish Lime could not be more different from a citrus fruit. It’s actually a cousin of the Lychee, Rambutan, and Longan, some of Tropical Fruit Box’s fan favorites.
What do Spanish Limes taste like?
The Spanish Lime tastes like a Lychee that married a lemon but without the high citrus notes. It’s tangy and sweet, with a hint of tamarind and it feels refreshing in your mouth. Perhaps that is why it’s a popular summer beach snack.
How do you eat these tasty Quenepas?
The skin is a beautiful green that's hard like a shell but not so hard like an egg. When you squeeze it, it cracks open pretty easily. You can cut it with a knife like the civilized person you are, or you can have an adventure and open it by biting down on it which is what we do since this is a beach favorite (don’t tell your dentist).
Once the soft shell cracks, remove it and you’ll see the peach-colored translucent orange flesh. Put it in your mouth and chew the flesh off the seed. The flesh is pretty stuck to the seed so you are going to have to work for it. When you are done, get rid of the seed and repeat until you've gone through all of them. When you are done and you just realized that you went through the whole box without sharing it with your loved ones, you can order another box in guilt and repeat the process all over again. Only while they last.

Passion Fruit Box
from $89.00
We finally got Passion Fruit in Spanish it is also known as Maracuya, Maracuja, Granadilla, Lilikoi, and many names all over the world! In Puerto Rico, they call it Parcha, and they absolutely love it!
This fruit is very special. The name of it doesn't come from where you might think. The name was given by the Spanish Catholic Missionaries in the sixteenth century traveling through the South American region where this fruit is native. They called "La flor de las cinco llagas o flor de la pasión" in English, the fruit of the five wounds since it resembled the wounds of Christ or the fruit of passion, so the name passion fruit stuck.
What does Passion Fruit taste like?
This fruit packs a punch, flavor-wise, it has a tropical, slightly tart, and sweet taste with an unmistakable aroma. It's no coincidence that it's used in preparing drinks, and some countries even make flavored soda from it. One interesting fact is that Passion Fruit is technically a berry since the whole fruit is fleshy.
When is Passion Fruit Ripe?
This fruit is very peculiar and unmistakable when it's ripe. You leave it on the counter until it gets wrinkly; after the skin is looking a little dry with visible wrinkles, you cut it open and extract the pulp. It can last a couple of weeks at room temperature and about 30 days in the refrigerator.
How do you eat passion fruit?
Hopefully, with a spoon! The pulp is delicious; you can use it to make drinks or juices or just eat it with a spoon. We recommend some sweetener since it's pretty tart but it's a very special tartness that defines this fruit and makes it completely unique. Once you've tasted passionfruit, you'll love it and want more.
What are some of the Passion Fruit Health Benefits?
Passion fruit is high in nutrients, low in calories, and packs an antioxidant punch. It contains fiber, Vitamins A and C, and minerals such as Iron and Potassium.
