Soursop | Guanabana Fruit Box
from $119.00
This is it! We have Soursop! You might know it as Guanabana Fruit or Graviola. Soursop is the ultimate tropical and exotic fruit treasure. Native to Central, South America and the Caribbean, this exotic fruit wonder is one of our most popular fruits.
Soursops have very different shapes and sizes that's why we sell it by weight. That said, we always err in your favor.
What does Soursop / Guanabana Fruit taste like?
If you never had a Soursop you are in for a treat. The flavor profile is a creamy texture that tastes like a combination of pineapple with a hint of strawberry and a sour citrusy note. The creamy texture can be associated with a smashed banana when it's ripe and it's usually eaten with a spoon. Many of our Tropifruiters love to make smoothies or the Brazilian popular drink called champola.
Where does our Soursop come from?
We get regular Soursop shipments flown in and they sell pretty fast so if you see we don't have it in stock, come back in a few days, especially at the beginning of the week and we usually have it.
Due to its delicacy, Soursop requires special handling and will be shipped on the day it arrives in its weekly or biweekly shipment so it can get to you in perfect condition. You don't have to pay extra for this awesome perk. That's why we are the #1 Soursop distributor online.
***Please note due to seasonal soursop volumes, we are receiving and shipping biweekly boxes.***

Purple Mangosteen Fruit Box
from $119.00
Mangosteen near me? Yes! Exotic Fruit Lovers rejoice! We’ve got the crown jewel, the queen of all fruits, the elusive, seductive, and much revered purple Mangosteen. It’s said that Queen Victoria would bestow a knighthood to anyone who could get her fresh mangosteen. Since UPS wasn't invented at the time, alas, no titles were granted.
The Mangosteen is round and has a reddish-purple rind with a white creamy flower-shaped flesh. The flavor is so unique that it is hard to describe. People who taste these things for a living say it feels like a combination of a Lychee with strawberry and peach notes. It tastes pretty darn special.
The rind of the so-called Queen of Fruits and Fruit of the Gods has been used for its medicinal properties for centuries, but the texture and flavor are what truly leave you wanting more.
Getting a fresh Mangosteen is a rare privilege that we can provide, no knighthood necessary, thanks to the wonders of online fruit delivery. You are most welcome!
Now available in 3 box sizes!
Spanish Limes | Mamoncillos | Quenepas | Guineps Box
from $67.00
The Spanish Lime also known as Quenepa is a fruit with a thousand names. It’s known as Mamoncillo, Guinep, Limoncillo, Mamón, Jocote, you get the point. Why does it have so many names? We can only guess that every country that has it, likes it so much they want to make it their own. No joke. People are serious about this little fruit! The Puerto Ricans love it so much that they even have a national festival celebrating the Quenepa, which is what they call it in the island of enchantment.
Other than it looks similar to a key lime from the outside; the Spanish Lime could not be more different from a citrus fruit. It’s actually a cousin of the Lychee, Rambutan, and Longan, some of Tropical Fruit Box’s fan favorites.
What do Spanish Limes taste like?
The Spanish Lime tastes like a Lychee that married a lemon but without the high citrus notes. It’s tangy and sweet, with a hint of tamarind and it feels refreshing in your mouth. Perhaps that is why it’s a popular summer beach snack.
How do you eat these tasty Quenepas?
The skin is a beautiful green that's hard like a shell but not so hard like an egg. When you squeeze it, it cracks open pretty easily. You can cut it with a knife like the civilized person you are, or you can have an adventure and open it by biting down on it which is what we do since this is a beach favorite (don’t tell your dentist).
Once the soft shell cracks, remove it and you’ll see the peach-colored translucent orange flesh. Put it in your mouth and chew the flesh off the seed. The flesh is pretty stuck to the seed so you are going to have to work for it. When you are done, get rid of the seed and repeat until you've gone through all of them. When you are done and you just realized that you went through the whole box without sharing it with your loved ones, you can order another box in guilt and repeat the process all over again. Only while they last.
What are you waiting for? Get Your Spanish Limes Today!

Many top-name chefs, celebrities, and other influencers have ordered the Pinkglow™ pineapple from us and you can tell when they’ve received it because it almost automatically shows up on their Instagram feed. They are a popular gift but if you really want to impress, you should buy our Pinkglow® Gift Box, it comes in a special box with a certificate of authenticity.
So many of you loved them so much and wanted to buy multiple units that we had to make it happen. This product was made possible through bioengineering.

Cacao Fruit Box
from $109.00
Cacao Fruit also called Cacao pods is not what you'd expect. It's much better! Did you know that the literal translation for Cacao’s scientific name means “Food of the Gods”? The Olmecs, an ancient civilization from what is now Mexico, were the first to use Cacao Fruit over 3,500 years ago. They obviously didn’t know what they had because if they did, we’d all be speaking Olmec right now… Instead, the just the airport in Brussels, Belgium sells over 800 tons of chocolate every year but, we digress.
Cacao Fruit and Chocolate
Cacao Pods are these American football shape-inspired fruits and coincidentally are where Chocolate comes from. Yes, the name is a little confusing and we get a lot of people asking for cocoa fruit, cocoa, cacao... does it even matter, at the end it all comes form the cacao bean that lives inside the fruit.
The taste couldn’t be any more different than the delicacy we’ve been groomed to gift to our loved ones. The white flesh has a pretty delicious zingy sweet flavor, it’s hard to describe its tart, fruity, citrusy flavor with mango and pineapple notes. The seeds are the ones used to actually make Chocolate and when you bite into them, you can taste what unprocessed pure chocolate is like.
The regular box contains 4 pieces of Cacao Fruits and the large box has 6 pieces of this Food of the Gods. Don’t wait, order your box of Cacao fruit today.
Passion Fruit Box
from $89.00
We finally got Passion Fruit in Spanish it is also known as Maracuya, Maracuja, Granadilla, Lilikoi, and many names all over the world! In Puerto Rico, they call it Parcha, and they absolutely love it!
This fruit is very special. The name of it doesn't come from where you might think. The name was given by the Spanish Catholic Missionaries in the sixteenth century traveling through the South American region where this fruit is native. They called "La flor de las cinco llagas o flor de la pasión" in English, the fruit of the five wounds since it resembled the wounds of Christ or the fruit of passion, so the name passion fruit stuck.
What does Passion Fruit taste like?
This fruit packs a punch, flavor-wise, it has a tropical, slightly tart, and sweet taste with an unmistakable aroma. It's no coincidence that it's used in preparing drinks, and some countries even make flavored soda from it. One interesting fact is that Passion Fruit is technically a berry since the whole fruit is fleshy.
When is Passion Fruit Ripe?
This fruit is very peculiar and unmistakable when it's ripe. You leave it on the counter until it gets wrinkly; after the skin is looking a little dry with visible wrinkles, you cut it open and extract the pulp. It can last a couple of weeks at room temperature and about 30 days in the refrigerator.
How do you eat passion fruit?
Hopefully, with a spoon! The pulp is delicious; you can use it to make drinks or juices or just eat it with a spoon. We recommend some sweetener since it's pretty tart but it's a very special tartness that defines this fruit and makes it completely unique. Once you've tasted passionfruit, you'll love it and want more.
What are some of the Passion Fruit Health Benefits?
Passion fruit is high in nutrients, low in calories, and packs an antioxidant punch. It contains fiber, Vitamins A and C, and minerals such as Iron and Potassium.

Pink Guava Box
from $79.00
If you've never had Pink Guava, you are definitely in for a mega treat. We love to eat it straight out like an apple but you can slice it and have it with yogurt or as part of a fruit salad. When you open the box, the scent will amaze you and you know, the scent is a huge part of the flavor.
It can be eaten in raw form or sliced as part of a salad, or even as a pie or pastry filling at your favorite bakery. As the signature flavor for many Hispanic dishes, its popular use is to make jam and sweets which will leave your senses alive and wanting more.
What does Pink Guava taste like?
The taste is unique and delicious like a combination between a pear and a strawberry. The fragrance of the guava transports you straight to the tropics so when you get one, before eating it, take a good sniff and you'll see what we are talking about.
**Cannot ship to California due to import restrictions**
Fresh Lychee Fruit Box
from $69.00
$87.00
Lychee Lovers, we know you are wondering...
Where can I find Lychee fruit near me?
Well, we have the answer and it's easier than you think. You can have top quality fresh lychee fruit delivered to your door with free shipping and our powerful freshness guarantee! Lychee Fruit is a tropical delicacy and one of our trending fruits this year.
The lychee fruit is a sweet fruit with bumpy skin and a translucent flesh with the most amazing texture. Lychees are a close cousin of the Rambutan and the Longan that we’ve featured recently.
They are about the size of a golf or ping pong ball with translucent white flesh that has the texture of a grape but is a little firmer. Inside, you’ll find a beautiful brown seed. (Don’t eat the seed, please.)
What does Lychee Fruit taste like?
The taste has been described as floral and that’s exactly what we think it tastes like. It’s sweet, refreshing and it’s been a favorite of restaurants and bars for exotic drinks like martinis, mojitos, and sangrias.
If you’ve never tasted Lychee, you are going to love this little fruit. It’s incredibly refreshing, and you’ll never forget its flavor.
Can you eat lychee fruit raw?
Absolutely, lychees are usually eaten raw. You just need to peel the skin and remove the seed and you'll have a perfectly transparent looking skin that's truly delicious.
Can you eat fresh lychee?
That's how we prefer it. When you pierce the skin and the juice just squirts out is probably one of the most satisfying experiences other than peeling the skin with your mouth and letting the juice flow into your mouth. It's quite delicious and trust us, you'll want to want to do it over and over.
People use it to make the most delicious drinks as a garnish, in salads and to supercharge any fruit bowl but the sky is the limit with this little fruit.
Is Lychee a Healthy Fruit?
Lychees are high in Vitamin C and antioxidants so eat away. We won't stop you and remember, no matter the size of the box you order, you'll probably regret not ordering more.
Get your Lychees before they're gone. We have a limited batch now, so order your box today and enjoy!
Tropical Avocado Box
from $49.00
If you haven’t tried Tropical Avocados, you are in for a treat. To my family, the Tropical Avocado has always been known as an Aguacate, pronounced (ah-gwa-kah-tee). This variety is a staple food in the Caribbean and Latin America where it’s been the most popular variety for generations.
Tropical Avocados are also known as green skin avocados because of their shiny and gorgeous shade of green. They are a source of good fats, are hearty, yummy, and are full of nutrients.
How do Tropical Avocados taste like?
When it comes to taste, they are pretty similar to the Haas avocado although slightly sweeter. They are creamy, luscious, and delicious. They spread very easily and have a buttery and creamy smooth texture. They have a light yellow and green color inside, and the seed can be brittle but that’s OK. The reality is that they are very similar to the avocados you are used to.
How are Tropical Avocados better?
Larger in size: The first thing you’ll notice is that they are humongous compared to the varieties you can buy at the supermarket. Each Tropical Avocado is about the equivalent of 4 Haas avocados. You can prep just one and feed your whole family.
Longer cut life: One of my pet peeves with those other avocados is that they turn black and the flavor changes right away, in the industry they call that oxidizing. The Tropical Avocados oxidize much slower which means that you can cut them and leave them out for longer. You can even keep one in the fridge wrapped in foil for two to three days after you cut them.
How do you know when they are ripe?
These avocados are ripe while the skin is still green, which is a little confusing if you are not used to them. Luckily, there is a simple way to know when they are ready. How? When you squeeze them and they give in just a little, they are ready to eat.
Where are they from?
These avocados are grown in the tropics on a beautiful farm in the Dominican Republic and in the off season over there, they come from beautiful and sunny Florida, where we are based. They grow with plenty of natural rain in nutrient-rich soil. They are naturally large, non-GMO and delicious.
Our Large Box comes with about 6 to 8 Large Tropical Avocados.
Our Regular box has 4 Large Tropical Avocados.
Longan / Dragon Eye Fruit Box
from $69.00
Longans are amazing fruits. Have you tried a Dragon eye? Not the real thing, of course, the little fruit that our Tropifruiters go crazy for. Why? Not hard to guess, they are succulent, sweet, and incredibly juicy. When you bite into the translucent flesh, it feels like it melts in your mouth.
The longan is a close cousin of the Lychee and the Rambutan but they are really the only ones that look like a real dragon eye. It comes from the Soapberry tree and it's called dragon's eye due to its contrasting white flesh and dark seed.
If you haven't tried Longan, you are in for a treat. If you've tried it, you know what you are in for.
If you think a whole box of Longan Fruit is too much, you can create your own tropical fruit box and add longan as one of the fruits in your favorite personalized tropical mix.
Order your fresh Longan Dragon Eye box today.

Rambutan Box
from $69.00
The rambutan, also called Ngoh is a tropical fruit native of Asia. The name rambutan comes from the Malay word that means hairy and when you see one, you’ll understand.
Once you peel the skin away, you'll see a beautiful white flesh that has a sweet and sour combination that's pretty unique. It's a close cousin of the lychee in flavor profile but the rambutan is sweeter.
The Small box contains 3 lbs, the Regular Box contains 5 pounds of Rambutan and the Large Box contains 8 pounds!

Mamey Fruit Box
from $89.00
Mamey Fruit is absolutely delicious! We call it Mamey, but it's also called sapote, not to be confused with black sapote, which is a different type of fruit altogether. They are so yummy that it's hard to eat just one.
We had so many requests for Mamey from people that want to order it online that we had to create a box just for it! These red mamey fruits are from right here in Florida and are humongous!
Mamey sapote is a medium to large fruit with a thick, semi-rough skin that ranges in color from light to dark brown. Underneath the skin, the flesh is soft, creamy, and dense with a fine, smooth consistency. The flesh of Mamey sapote ranges in color from orange, and red, to salmon. Within the center of the flesh, there is one elliptical seed with a glossy, black-brown hue. Don't eat the seed!
What does mamey taste like?
The flavor of is like a cross between a pumpkin and a sweet potato, with hints of caramel and chocolate. It's truly unlike anything else you've ever tasted!
Order a box, have a nice mamey shake, or just eat them with a spoon and if you have a couple left, take the pulp out with a spoon, put them in a freezer bag, and you'll have mamey for a few more times! We love to make shakes that are so good that you'll always want more, they are good like that.
A quick mamey sapote shake recipe
To make an awesome mamey shake, wait for it to be fully ripened when the skin is soft to the touch. Scoop out the pulp of half the fruit with a spoon into a blender, add two cups of regular milk and if you want to be extra, add half a can of evaporated milk. Sugar to taste, add some ice, blend it and you have yourself a tropical treat!
Our Mamey Fruit Boxes make the perfect gift for any occasion or a delicious treat for yourself. Order your tropical box of mamey today, and let me know what you think when you get it. I know you'll love it.

Fresh Sapodilla | Zapote | Chico Box
from $79.00
We have Sapodilla! After a crazy season, we were able to get our hands on a small batch of the ever-popular Sapodilla, also called Nispero, Chico Fruit, Zapote, Zapotillo, and Tree Potato, which curiously, tastes nothing like a potato. As a matter of fact, comparing this fruit to a potato is our new apples and oranges. So, from now on, to show that you are an Exotic fruit connoisseur, you'll say while slightly elevating your nose, it's like Sapodillas and Potatoes. People might look at you funny but Tropifruiters and the Fruitarians are going to revere you, but I digress...
What does it taste like? This is definitely a dessert fruit, it's very sweet and has oaky, light molasses notes, and the flavor of brown sugar and roasted sweet potato. You can just chill it and eat it with a spoon, it's that good!
The Sapodilla is a close cousin of the Mamey Sapote, Canistel, and Caimito, also known as Star Apple. Some of our very favorites. This is a very special fruit, the skin is light brown and the flesh has a beautiful golden brownish caramel color that reminds me of the sands of the Sahara.
You know it's ripe when it's starting to soften and gives slightly to the touch. You know, it feels soft without being overly soft. When it's ready, pounce! You don't want to let this one pass you by. Life is too short.
The regular box contains 5 pounds of Sapodilla and the large box has 8 pounds.

Breadfruit (Panapen, Ulu) Box
from $79.00
$89.00
Breadfruit is considered by many the food of the future, Breadfruit also called Ulu or Panapen and it's been a staple food in the Pacific islands for over 2000 years. Ulu is an important part of the local food tradition and folklore in Hawaii. It can be prepared like a fruit or a vegetable since it's incredibly versatile. When roasted, it feels and tastes like baked bread, hence the name.
Fun facts about Breadfruit
Sir Joseph Banks, a sailor who embarked with Captain Cook to Tahiti in the 18th Century famously said that if you planted 10 breadfruit trees in your life, you or your future generations would never go hungry, we paraphrase of course.
It is said that the famous mutiny of the H.M.S Bounty happened because of Breadfruit! The mission of the Bounty was to transplant more than 1000 young breadfruit trees, but they arrived late. Fate would have it that in the months they spent waiting, the crew grew enchanted with the island and didn’t want to leave.
Forced to depart, the unhappiness of the crew eventually turned into mutiny. So there you have it, breadfruit has a long history!
According to scientists, it has an amazing future in the food security of many nations and the world. Sir Joseph Banks was right!
Order your Breadfruit box today, please note they are not currently mature.
Fresh whole Jackfruit in a Box (1 count)
$89.00
$129.00
The Jackfruit is the largest fruit in the world. No kidding. Believe it or not, the Jackfruit is a close cousin of the fig and breadfruit. It grows in tropical areas; since we live in one, we can usually procure a few.
The Jackfruits are hot. This is one of the hottest "newly discovered fruits" that people are using as a vegan meat replacement because of its meaty texture and excellent neutral flavor that will take the flavor of the sauce or spices you use.
So, you ask, where can I find a fresh jackfruit near me? Well, you are in luck because, thanks to the internet and FedEx, you can order a fresh jackfruit, and we ship it right to your door. Isn't that a deal?
How big are these Jackfruits?
This fruit is enormous, we can only fit one in a box so we are talking about a single fruit. I held one up for a picture, and it was a total workout! So, you want to feel good and impress your friends? Buy Jackfruit, cook it, make something delicious and enjoy life!
***Please note jackfruit shipments come in about every 2 weeks***

Tamarillo - Tree Tomato Box
from $49.00
Looking for something a little different in your fruit box? Say hello to the tamarillo also called tree tomato or Tomate de Arbol! This tropical fruit is native to South America, and it's related to the tomato. But don't let that fool you - the tamarillo is its own unique fruit, with a tart and tangy flavor that's perfect for adding a little zing to your breakfast or lunch.Grown in altitudes of over 5000 ft in Ecuador, the Tree Tomato has a flavor that people compare to a mixture of guava, passion fruit with the tomato notes that give it its name.
The tamarillo is a small tree or shrub, and it bears oval-shaped fruits that come in red or yellow. The skin of the fruit is thin and delicate, so handle with care. Inside the skin is where you'll find the juicy flesh of the tamarillo, which is full of seeds. Make sure to remove the skin that's bitter and we recommend peeling it before eating it. You can blanche it if it's easier so the skin comes out all at once.
Not sure how to enjoy your tamarillo? We like to slice it in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, add it so salsas, salads and of course chutneys, if you're feeling adventurous, you can add it to a smoothie or juice for a boost of flavor. However you enjoy it, we know you'll love this delicious and exotic fruit!
How do you eat Tamarillo?
Good question! You can just simply cut them in half following the stem, add a little sugar or your favorite sweetener, and enjoy it with a spoon! You can grill them, blanch them, add them to soups and salads or even make an amazing cream cheese spread.
Order your Tamarillo Box Today and enjoy the tangy flavors of the tropics.
Fresh Sugar Apple | Sweet Sop | Anon Box
from $109.00
Sugar Apple, just saying it aloud makes you want to eat a big piece, even if you’ve never tasted it before. The Sugar Apple is also known as Sweet Sop or Anón. The fancy scientists call it Annona squamosa, we started adding their fancy names because our Tropifruiters are very inquisitive.
This is what you do. It’s ripe when you can pull it apart and starts giving to the touch. Grab it with both hands and use your thumbs to separate the segments. When you separate the little knobs or lobes and expose the interior, you are in for a real treat.
The creamy flesh has the consistency of a custard, like the one Grandma used to make, but this tastes much better because it has a hint of a minty finish. Sorry Granny, we still love you. Remember to take out the seeds, you can do it before you eat the flesh or just put the lobes in your mouth and work out the seeds, as the seeds are not edible.
Sugar Apples are super rare and cultivated in very small batches. We only get a handful at a time and they literally fly out the door. Don't say we didn't warn you!
The current variety is green and from Florida and unfortunately cannot ship to California.

Apple Bananas are unmistakably chubby and cute, their texture is creamy, and the flavor is a little bit more sweet and tart. Make no mistake, this is still a banana although about half the size. No, they are not the snack version of a regular banana, I know you were thinking just that. The dark brown or black spots are actually good news! Unlike other varieties, when they look like they are overripe and are soft to the touch, they are ready to eat! The spots mean that they are just getting nice and sweet super ready for you to enjoy.Apple Bananas are one of our favorite bananas and we like to have them year-round. They are easily available, and we think they are pretty special. Get your Box today and let us know how you liked them!

from $109.00
It's a thing, trust me. The Caimito, as we know it, also known as Star Apple, Caimito, Purple Star Apple, Abiaba, Pomme de Lait, Milk Fruit, and many more. What's going on with all these fruits with multiple names? The Caimito is a relative of the Mamey, Sapote.
The caimito, AKA the star apple, is a delicious tropical fruit native to Central and South America. It's named for the star-like shape of its cross-section magically revealed when the fruit is cut in half. The fruit's skin ranges from green to purple, and the flesh is soft and creamy, with a sweet and slightly tangy flavor.
Caimito trees are medium-sized and can grow up to 50 feet tall. They are prized for their beautiful, glossy leaves and fragrant flowers, which bloom in clusters and have a delicate, jasmine-like scent. The fruit is round or oval and typically measures around 4-6 inches in diameter.
The caimito is a highly nutritious fruit, rich in vitamins and minerals. It is a good source of vitamin C, which helps to boost the immune system and protect against illness. It also contains a range of B vitamins, including thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin, essential for maintaining healthy skin, hair, and eyes.
The caimito is a versatile fruit that can be eaten fresh or used in many dishes. It can be sliced as a refreshing snack or used to make jams, jellies, and preserves. It is also a popular ingredient in smoothies and juices and can make a refreshing sorbet.
The caimito is a delicious and highly nutritious fruit worth trying. Whether you enjoy it fresh or use it in cooking and baking, this tropical treat will surely delight your taste buds and provide various health benefits.
How to eat Caimito
When you cut the skin, you can see the star pattern that gave it its name. The Caimito tastes like sweet caramel custard, that's why it's very commonly used as a dessert, just chill and eat with a spoon.
Important note: Don't take a big bite out of your caimito since you only should eat the interior fruit flesh. That pulp around the seeds is where it's at. Needless to say, don't eat the seeds either.
Our Caimito is tree-ripened and hand-picked. Current variety is green and grown in Florida. Get your box today.

from $69.00
Mingolo Mango, Mingolo Mango, say that 10 times and repeat it again! Besides being the perfect tongue twister, this mango will only bring joy and pleasure to your very sensitive but likely by now, bored tastebuds. First cultivated in India over 5000 years ago, this beautiful mango has an amazing pedigree.
About the Mingolo Mango
Mingolo mangos are medium-sized mangos that are very sweet and have enough flesh to enjoy in one sitting since the seed is mid-size as well but we seriously doubt that you’ll eat just one. When you cut into one, you can smell the delicious tropical fruit notes with even a hint of peach. Don’t pull out the toothpick just yet since they have very few fibers and the texture is pretty smooth overall. Don’t be fooled by the green exterior skin since they will ripen to a beautiful yellow.
Origins of the Mingolo
Coming to us from our partner farms in the fertile Dominican Republic, this mango deliciousness will really make you enjoy that fresh mango flavor that you miss in anticipation of the full summer mango season ahead. It’s kind of the preview of what’s to come this year and by the looks of the flowering situation happening in mango trees all around us, it’s going to be a mango year for the record books! We seriously must learn from the wine-making folks to label the mango seasons and start taking tasting notes. We can just close our eyes and look into the future and hear our Tropifruters deep in conversation – Remember that Tropical Fruit Box Mingolo Mango from 2022? – Absolutely! It was a lot richer and full of flavor than the 2017 with more flavor complexity due to the weather patterns and blah blah blah… but, we digress.Other favorite mangos, or mangoes (yes, you can spell it both ways and yes, we are annoyed at being corrected all the time by folks on both sides) from this region are the Jamaican Julie Mangos, the much loved and anticipated Haitian Francine mangos that our Tropifruters clamor for every year.To get back into the topic, the peak availability for the Mingolo Mango is from March to July and guess what? It’s time. Get your box of Mingolo Mangos today and enjoy it in whichever way you prefer, sliced, cubed, in smoothies, shakes, Mango Lassies, you name it but most importantly, take a picture, share your recipes and let us know how you liked them!
Fresh Black Mission Fig Box
from $89.00
According to historians, figs are one of the oldest cultivated fruits in the world and even wars have started over their delicious flavor. For the celebrity buffs, here is a good one for you. Cleopatra, arguably one of the very first celebrities, loved them so much that the snake that took her life was brought to her in a basket of figs. Adam and Eve wore the on trend fashionable fig leaf and Buddha obtained enlightenment under the Bhodi tree, a giant fig tree, presumably by eating one. Egyptian royalty were buried with a basket of fresh figs so they could enjoy them in the afterlife. What do we have in the modern world? Fig Newtons? Time to change that! If you’ve never tasted fresh fit’s, you are just missing out. These are the sweetest and most commonly dried variety because of their unique figgy taste. Hate to be redundant but it’s all about the fig taste, isn’t that why you are getting fresh figs in the first place?
What do Figs taste like?
Think of sweet molasses, caramelly with that delicious and unforgettable fig flavor, with berry notes. Pair with savory spices, fancy creamy cheeses and fatty crispy bacon to add an amazing combination that you’ll want to be getting back to over and over.
They are ready when they give in slightly when you touch them. When you cut them, they reveal the beautiful light pink and creamy flesh and the edible seeds that you should enjoy fresh to know what It’s like to eat the real thing. Wrinkles are welcomed! This fig is definitely not ageist, as a matter of fact, plump and wrinkly is exactly what you want so, step aside perfectionists that these figs have got it going on! You can eat these Figs with Skin and All but we’ll leave it up to you how you enjoy this gift from the fruit gods. After all, ancient Romans and Egyptians couldn’t just have them delivered to their door.

We need at least two of those these days. Today, the pomegranate has a whole bunch of health benefits that we are sure our Tropifruiters are pretty well versed in. The peel of the pomegranate is inedible, but once you open the red exterior, you'll find a beautiful array of crimson-colored seeds that have a tart, tangy and sweet combination of flavors that will leave you wanting more.
